FebMoney Saving Tip.
So, I am in the process of buying a new car, and one of the things they asked me was if I wanted to get the VIN # etched on all of the windows for $299. They mentioned that this would save money on your insurance. I declined for now, and decided to do some research. So, apparently putting the VIN # on the windows acts as a theft-deterrent. Since Police use VIN to find stolen cars, if someone were to steal your vehicle they would have to replace all of the windows. Most people stealing cars know this & it makes your car less attractive. I found some DIY kits online for about $20, but I don’t want to link one in particular yet because I haven’t researched which one is the best. The best part is that doing this will save you some money on your car insurance as it’s an anti-theft measure! Just passing it along in case anyone else didn’t know!

Before you drop any cash on having your glass engraved, check with your local PD. Many PD’s are set up to do this and will do it free or for a small charge. Others hold regular anti-theft demonstrations at some parking lot or other where they have a pro come in and do it for free or at a reduced cost. Might be a money saver if they offer it in your area.
Good Luck!
P.S. Congratulations on you engagement and just fyi, you look WAY better in a dress than you think! I know, I know, you weren’t fishing for compliments but I’ve seen the pics that prove it:).
