My Own Worst Enemy November 18, 2008

After only four episodes making it to air NBC has decided to pull the plug on My Own Worst Enemy starring Christian Slater and Christian Slater. The series which premiered with 7.3 million viewers saw a hit in it’s ratings and by the fourth episode was down to just 4.25 million viewers. I have to admit this comes as unfortunate news for me as I actually kind of liked this show. Sure it’s not as smart say Fringe but it was fun! I was pretty excited to see Christian Slater doing something.

NBC plans on airing all nine episodes that were already filmed for the series but will not be continuing production on the series to complete the season at least. That’s what burns me the most. If you are going to produce a show and start a story at the very least let the first season play out. I wish they would come up with a way to track DVR viewing accurately or something, because I feel like a lot of shows will have inaccurate ratings as a result. I will definitely be sad to see this one go :|

Spivey’s in the box.

That blows, I really liked the show too. Luckily there is a new Joss Whedon show called Dollhouse that starts next month and sounds like it has sort of a similar concept.

Also I can’t tell if you are being facetious when you called Fringe smart because I got the complete opposite vibe from it. I watched the first two episodes and was very disappointing after hearing only good things.
